Archery is a sport for all seasons and for all people, whatever the age, gender, or level of physical ability. It is also a very versatile sport, since it can be as simple or as involved as the archer wishes.

Mid-week timetable

We are open on Tuesday, at 1:00pm (for two hours, cost $20).

Beginner’s course

The club conducts a beginner’s course nearly every weekend!  Participants are taught basic skills by Master Bowman Rob McKenzie who has been teaching archery for over 30 years.  Beginners can attend as many courses as they want.  Time: Saturday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Sunday 10am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

Cost: $20 per person, per occasion

You need: Appropriate clothing for an outdoor activity

Booking: No need to book.

Participation is open for all those aged over 8 years of age.
The grounds are flat so is suitable for wheelchair access.


Private lessons

Private lessons are the best way for a more experienced archer to take their technique to the next level, or for a beginner to quickly improve. Lessons are held over the weekend and can be booked in a week in advance. Tuition is given by Master Bowman Rob McKenzie who has been teaching archery for over 30 years.

Cost: $50 per hour.

Archers can use the club’s equipment.

Casual attendance

Archers are welcome to attend casually to use the clubs equipment, ask for advice and test their skill against others. Cost is $20 and archers can attend Saturday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm as well as Sundays, 10am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

No booking is necessary.
